“ Orphan Andy's continues to offer good solid comfort food and service at reasonable prices. This is the Castro, and the décor couldn't be gayer. The cuisine is not so fancy, but it's reliable. See prior review for physical and menu limitations. They used to be 24/7, but after the pandemic closure, they are open all night Thursday through Saturday nights (continuously from Thursday morning until Sunday evening) and during the day Monday through Wednesday. Expect to wait for a table at peak weekend times, and whenever there is some event going on in the Castro. Orphan Andy's is a habit I have no plans to break. ”
“ 2 Nov. '24-17:30-Burger was one of the tastiest I've ever eaten. I was able to get cottage cheese instead of fries as a healthier option. A real greasy spoon gem in the heart of the Castro. Our server was friendly, prompt, and efficient. A real 50's diner. You can play tunes from the jute box right from your table. The Hallowe'en decor was so fun. A little pricey but I'm sure the cost of the rent for the owners merits the cost. So glad you guys are still here! Thank you! ”
“ Great friendly service! Solid breakfast food as I had the classic breakfast. It was crowded but that's to be expected on a Saturday/weekend, but the vibes were excellent! ”
“ The food smelled and looked good. Service was quick and with a great attitude!! This place is convenient to the street car stop just a few steps away. ”
“ This place is a charming diner known for its simplicity! Located in the heart of SF where they are opened 24 hours on certain days. I remember coming here late in the morning and it was packed! Everyone who knows will know about this place. What is great is that they have such simple food, but it is always a delight. The things that stand out the most to me were the stuffed french toast which is so delicious! Honestly I love any of their breakfast food. Breakfast good so late at night always hits well! Doesn't really matter what you order here. You will leave full and happy. ”
